Simple Thank You card

Good Morning! Sorry I've been missing the past few days. I just got burned out and needed to do some family things you know like clean and dust. Yesterday I went grocery shopping. That always wipes me out. I wanted to get everything done so I could chill all weekend:)So here's a card I made several week ago and never posted. I really like the colors and the simplicity of it. For the past few months all my stamped projects have been for a reason either for sale or for possible publication. I find my customers really like simple pretty cards not so much cards that have hardware, stitching, or any of the other technique. Some time ago I contacted JeanneS and asked if I could link her tutorial on paper piecing here for my readers. So to learn how to do the vase on this card check out JeanneS
paper piecing tutorial. Thanks Jeanne for the hook up!
My Girl Michele has two awesome cards on her blog right now using this technique and the new MFT stamps. I hope you will check them out!
For this card I used The flowers from Year After Year and the Vase from Vases in Vogue. Can you believe this gorgeous ribbon was in the dollar bin? Yep it really was.
Brocade, Celery, WW CS BG DP for the vase
I colored this with blender pens and inkpads
I hope you have a wonderful long weekend!
Thanks for stopping by:)
Dee

It's interesting that you mention your customers seem to prefer the simpler, pretty cards. I've noticed that, too. I don't think non-stampers really care about all the fancy layout stuff with pieces going every which way and doodads all over the place. As stampers who've been doing this for a while, we're always looking for something new and interesting, but most folks just want something simple that doesn't look "store bought". My customers sure do love glitter, though! Anyway, Dee, this card of yours is really very pretty and sweet. It's just perfect!
