Watercolored Hello

Good Morning! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I had a little set back I'm sure it's just from doing to much to fast. I put myself in time out!! lol (wink) so I've been watercoloring the past few days, my way of being creative without over doing it. I sat and colored mainly with watercolored pencils. My favorite stamps to color are all retired. This card uses one of my all time favorite stamps I hope you like it. After I colored it on vanilla card stock I used distress ink all over. I then used sponges and added Choc Chip and Ruby Red around the edges. I also used Itty Bitty background to make the black spots. The main images was lost in this gorgeous dp from daisyd's (Attic Heirlooms)so I added a layer of black cardstock. When I cropped the picture of the card the strip of dp on the left looks uneven but it's straight IRL:)
Here's a picture of the basket up close.

So good to be stamping! SC143

Good Morning! This card is for today's SC143. I colored everything with Stampin Pastels. The panel with the words was made by smearing my ink spot across vanilla CS. I used foam tape to pop up the flowers, leaves, and bird.
You may have noticed I've been using dp the past two days, I've tried to stamp with my background stamps but it hurts still to apply that much pressure. So for now I'm forced to use up some of this paper I buy and never use lol:) This paper is from a stack called old world.
Card Supplies
Stamps: Natural Beauty
Paper: Old World Mat Stack, Choc Chip, Mellow Moss, Vanilla
Ink: Stampin Pastels, Black, Close to Cocoa

Good Morning! While resting I was going through some pictures and ran across these. Oh how I remember this day!! She was so darn cute taking a picture of Nana and Pop Pop. She said "say cheese" but the camera was backwards too funny!! I'm so glad my daughter was taking pictures as well. I'm not very good at scrappin but I do have fun when I do it.
Have a great Sunday

Old World Style Motifs

Hi there! I hope your having a great day:) I haven't been feeling well for weeks now and my stamping sure is showing it. I found this Old World Mat Stack and just loved the paper. I really like the way this turned out. A lot of distessing and DTP. I wanted the linen to look worn and old so I finger walked it.
Enjoy the day!

Something Different

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a fun long weekend. Can you believe I didn't stamp at all. I do have something fun to share. I made this vase of flowers all from card stock. I started with choc. chip cardstock, ran it through my xryon to adhere the BG blush paper. I molded and shaped it forever!! I used red sticky tape to hold it together at the seem. I stuffed the vase with gold tissue paper and some spanish moss (the green kind) I stamped and colored the flowers from my FPD Simply Stated set and cut them out. The leaves are from SU! Wild Rose set. I wired and glued the flowers and leaves and made my flower arrangement. After getting the right height for each flower and leaf I dipped the wire in craft glue and put it in the vase. I let it sit over night.I finished it off with a ribbon and bow a glue dot holds the spiral clip and tag.

Stamps: Simply Stated, Wild Rose, Vases in Vogue
Paper: Choc Chip. BG Blush, WW
Ink: Mellow, Artichoke, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Black, Choc Chip
Accessories: Ribbon, HP, Spanish Moss, Wire, Craft Glue

Enjoy your day!

Simple Thank You card

Good Morning! Sorry I've been missing the past few days. I just got burned out and needed to do some family things you know like clean and dust. Yesterday I went grocery shopping. That always wipes me out. I wanted to get everything done so I could chill all weekend:)So here's a card I made several week ago and never posted. I really like the colors and the simplicity of it. For the past few months all my stamped projects have been for a reason either for sale or for possible publication. I find my customers really like simple pretty cards not so much cards that have hardware, stitching, or any of the other technique. Some time ago I contacted JeanneS and asked if I could link her tutorial on paper piecing here for my readers. So to learn how to do the vase on this card check out JeanneS
paper piecing tutorial. Thanks Jeanne for the hook up!
My Girl Michele has two awesome cards on her blog right now using this technique and the new MFT stamps. I hope you will check them out!
For this card I used The flowers from Year After Year and the Vase from Vases in Vogue. Can you believe this gorgeous ribbon was in the dollar bin? Yep it really was.
Brocade, Celery, WW CS BG DP for the vase
I colored this with blender pens and inkpads
I hope you have a wonderful long weekend!
Thanks for stopping by:)
